Individual Counseling

Evidence-based therapy modalities, including attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic principles, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused therapy. I combine these and more experimental practices to tailor therapy to your unique needs.

Couples Counseling

Couples Therapy is an opportunity to hit the reset button and look at a cherished bond with fresh eyes. Only with honest clarity can partners realize the behaviors, negative assumptions, and dynamics that harm their relationship; only with kindness can they work together towards meaningful change. I create a safe and open space where you can share with each other and really listen

Youth/Teen Counseling

The teen years are tough on the entire family, and if issues start to arise, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and even hopeless. At Healthy Life Choices GA, we are actively committed to helping teens, young adults, and families cope with life’s challenges. Helping clients learn healthier ways of relating to themselves, each other, and the world is at the core of every session.

Group Counseling

Group therapy is led by a licensed therapist and is different from a support group in that the leader is a licensed therapist and not a lay person (a.k.a. group member). The focus and goals are to learn new skills while also gaining insight into the topic of the group as a whole. Group therapy is counseling for a group of people that is generally geared towards a specific topic, such as anger management, and is typically used in conjunction with individual therapy.

EMDR Counseling

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is widely recognized as a powerfully effective practice that facilitates and augments clinical processes toward the best outcome. I’am trained in EMDR treatment method developed and taught by Francine Shapiro. This involves a detailed 8-step protocol that has demonstrated positive results with many tens of thousands of individuals over the course of nearly three decades.
