Counseling and Therapy for Youth, Couples, and Families
Welcome to Healthy Life Choices!
Healthy Life Choices is a Family Counseling and Social Service Agency that specializes in bridging mental health, education, and access through technology to improve the overall functioning of children, youth, adults, seniors and their families.
We provide behavioral health services to families through community-based support, anger management, family violence intervention, substance abuse services, crisis intervention, court-ordered services, education, corporate training, and social enrichment activities to residents of DeKalb, Fulton, Clayton, Rockdale, Henry, and Newton County.
It takes strength, courage and sometimes fears to move forward in current life situations. At Healthy Life Choices, we understand that at some point in life we have all faced some form of difficulty, not because we are doing something wrong, but because we have made a decision to do something right, or something different.
We are experienced in many evidence-based therapy modalities, including attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic principles, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused therapy. We combine these and more experimental practices to tailor therapy to your unique needs.
Couples Therapy is an opportunity to hit the reset button and look at a cherished bond with fresh eyes. Only with honest clarity can partners realize the behaviors, negative assumptions, and dynamics that harm their relationship; only with kindness can they work together towards meaningful change. I create a safe and open space where you can share with each other and really listen.
The teen years are tough on the entire family, and if issues start to arise, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and even hopeless. At Healthy Life Choices GA, we are actively committed to helping teens, young adults, and families cope with life’s challenges. Helping clients learn healthier ways of relating to themselves, each other, and the world is at the core of every session.
